Biometrics is an increasingly evolving method of identifying and verifying individuals, but it carries with it the risk of abuse. Despite the increasingly massive use in various fields, as well as in our daily lives (e.g. unlocking the phone with a fingerprint), we do not know much about the ways and motives of use. The current situation has significantly increased the use of modern technology in the purchase of goods and services, as well as in communication with others. The crucial question is to what extent these technologies are used by older adults or more widely, how the use of biometric technologies and awareness of them varies according to age. The data set includes 2500 respondents, aged from 12 years.
